Everyday People Prayer centers on the goodness and mercy people can access and practice daily. This prayer won the Catholic Social Teaching Month prayer and poem competition in the Diocese of Cleveland in the Fall of 2023. Kathleen Collins, OFS, wrote it. Collins is a secular Franciscan.
Fr. Miguel Agustín Pro, S.J., celebrates his feast day on November 23. Pro centered his life around supporting those who were poor and vulnerable. He supported them through the sacraments and with money. He was executed in Mexico City, Mexico on November 23, 1927.
Catholic Mobilizing Network assembled a handful of presenters in winter 2022 to discuss what restorative justice practices can inform the Synod on Synodality. The conversation offered a view of the process, tips on restorative practices to guide the process, and even an opportunity to discuss where hope can be found in this endeavor. The presenters were Sr. Nathalie Becquart, XMCJ; Fr. David McCallum, S.J.; Joe Cotton; Krisanne Vaillancourt Murphy; Caitlin Morneau; and Julia McStravog.
