In their award-winning documentary E-Team, directors Katy Chevigny and Ross Kauffman tell the stories of four human rights activists who travel to some of the most dangerous places in the world in order to tell the stories of the oppressed and persecuted. The film captures the pain and fear experienced by those in areas like Syria and Libya as well as the challenges activists face in trying to find solutions to these difficult problems.

Last Days in Vietnam

Rory Kennedy’s documentary Last Days in Vietnam provides a closer look at the chaotic events of the final days of the Vietnam War. The film includes interviews by individuals who were present and involved with Operation Frequent Wind, the frantic evacuation of Americans and South Vietnamese from the U.S. Embassy as North Vietnamese troops closed in on Saigon.

Remembering Our Veterans

With great sadness, we remember all those who served and gave their lives or their health and well-being in the Armed Forces; we pray for the dead, that their souls rest in peace, and we pray for healing for all those wounded in some way during conflict.  May we resolve to work for peace in their memory.

Prayers: Empathy Without Borders and Planting Seeds of Right Relationships

While the disappearance, torture, and murders by Latin American governments are hopefully in the past, the U.S. former School of the Americas, which trained so many of those responsible for these cruelties, is still operating under a different name, Western Hemisphere Institute for Security Cooperation. Many of the perpetrators continue to enjoy impunity.
