St. Alburto Hurtado is from Chile and is known for driving around Santiago in his green truck to look for children and adults experiencing homelessness in order to provide them food and a place to stay. He founded Hogar de Cristo in 1944, a network of shelters for people experiencing homelessness. He is a contemporary saint who put the “Two Feet of Love in Action” as he met people’s material needs and also worked for justice through structural change.
