Common Good Webinar

, | May 7, 2026

This webinar explores the Catholic understanding of the common good and what it asks of us in a world shaped by inequality, polarization, and environmental crisis. Dr. Allison Covey guides participants through Catholic Social Teaching, drawing on Scripture, Church tradition, Pope Francis, and contemporary realities to illuminate a vision of society rooted in human dignity, solidarity, and participation in public life.

Rather than treating the common good as an abstract ideal, this session invites practical reflection on how our schools, communities, political systems, and everyday choices either strengthen or weaken our shared life together. Participants will be encouraged to consider what it means to move beyond individual success toward a more just and life-giving social order where all can flourish. Presentation slides from the session are also available for continued learning and reflection.
