Andrew Kim Taegon is one of the 103 Korean martyrs being honored on September 21. He was born August 21, 1821 in Seoul, South Korea to parents of nobility. Both of his parents were converts to the Catholic faith. Andrew Kim was baptized when he was 15 years old and later responded to the call to the priesthood.
