A Theology of Power: Part Five

| November 27, 2010

Part Five explores the ways in which Catholic Social Teaching (CST) can provide essential perspectives, tools and principles in unmasking the powers that dehumanize, demean and exclude.  This part of the series takes a close look at understanding what Catholic Social Teaching offers us if we listen closely to the words of the CST texts.  Explore the role of truth, the justice of God, and the power of the Incarnation.  God’s justice is a justice incarnated in Jesus, who is empowered to rescue and restore humanity’s fallen state as well as redeem the power made visible in the “powers” that have fallen and been corrupted.
