Water Privatization

This six-page unit looks at the current trend of water privatization throughout the world. Beginning with a short prayer, this unit discusses several topics including water as a human right, CST and water, and the pitfalls of water privatization. Also included are a case study and discussion questions. Links are made between International Financial Institutions (the World Bank and International Monetary Fund) and water privatization. Also, the effects of water privatization on the poorest of the poor, women and children, are explained.
