Working Group Updates – North American US Farm Bill

North American US Farm Bill Working Group
 AAI will hold 5 educational forums focused on a Competition Title and a DC fly-in (March 7-10) for lobbying efforts. These forums are being planned in Iowa, Minnesota, Washington DC and/or Texas. Two forums have already been held in Kansas (NCRLC Annual Meeting, November 2006) and Washington DC (Social Ministry Gathering, February 2007).

AAI has been active on Competition and Concentration issues related to the 2007 US Farm Bill. AAI North America will collaborate with existing committees and campaigns in farm bill forums to ensure that rich testimony from AAI stakeholder groups will be heard. AAI’s focus is the opportunity for agriculture and trade policy change with regard to its impact on small farmers in the US and to ensure farmers in other parts of the world are not adversely affected
