Poverty, Disasters and Development

The Option for the Poor is central principle of the Church’s social teaching and relevant in disasters such as the tsunami in South East Asia. This unit consists of fact sheets on the poverty and natural disasters as well as on development aid to poor countries in the Catholic Social Teaching perspective.
