In light of the increasing violence in the Muslim World, the Marrakesh Declaration was written to promote peace among all people, regardless of their religion. This reflection outlines the basic points in the declaration, offers reflection questions, and gives a chart of shared themes in both the Qu’ran and the Bible.
Following the model of Pope Francis, we are called to pray with all people of faith, especially during this Year of Mercy; this prayer service reminds us of God’s mercy and God’s call to us to be merciful.
